The so–called President of the Separatist Abkhazia – Raul Khajimba is the humble proxy of the Russian imperialistic interests. This was known from the very start. R. Khajimba’s speech at the forum of the “National Integrity of Abkhazia” once more confirmed this fact. Decrease of the scale of the financial support from Russia was connected by Raul Khajimba with the declining energy product prices and introduction of economic sanctions against the Kremlin.
At the same time, he had to as if indirectly mention about the categorical demand of Russia on property sale in Abkhazia to the foreigners. That part of the society, which understands the catastrophic outcome of this step for the Abkhazia ethnos, is against it. The regime of V. Putin is attempting to pursue its aims with the help of R. Khajimba and via blackmailing of the population having stayed behind on the occupied territory, which it was not able to achieve due to the pressure of the international organizations and activity of the Abkhazian society. It is not difficult to understand: When the separatist administration under the request of Russia forbids the Georgian Youth of the Gali region to get education in the native language; the following step of the Empire will be limitation of the Abkhazian language, acceleration of the Russification process of the Abkhazian people and radical change of the demographic situation in Abkhazia. This process has already been started.
We’d like to remind those willing to appropriate the public property of Georgia and private property of the IDP’s and refugees a number of Resolutions of the General Assembly of UN and among them the Resolution of the 3rd of June of 2015, as well as the law of Georgia “ on the occupied territories” and decision of the Parliament of Georgia of the 20th of March of 2002 “on the unlawful disposal of the public property of the IDPs and refugees” in accordance with which any bargain in respect of the property located on the occupied territory violating the Georgian legislation is not valid and won’t be the subject of legal implications.
The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia appeals to UN, OSCE and other international organizations and friendly States to continue the consistent defense of the IDP’s and Refugees’ rights and condemn the facts of disposal of the above mentioned property.
