19 years ago, September 27, 1993, Sokhumi fell. September 27, 1993 a tragic day in the recent history of Georgia. The separatist regime in Abkhazia, with the regular troops of the Russian Federation, and drove from their homes more than 300 thousand residents of Abkhazia, tens of thousands of civilians, mostly Georgians, died a painful death.

In this regard, members of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the public will hold a number of events:

10.00 - will lay a wreath at the memorial monument to soldiers-heroes who died for the territorial integrity and independence;

11.00 - will lay a wreath at the mass grave in Vashlijvari;

12.00 - lay a wreath on the grave of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia Tamaz Nadareishvili;

12.30 - lay a wreath on the grave of the deceased heroic Commander 23 Mechanized Brigade Gen. Geno Adamia;

13.00 - lay a wreath on the grave of the deceased heroic Prime Minister of Abkhazia Zhiuli Shartava.
