Tamaz Khubua: "The international community should pay more attention to conflict regions"


As a known in 2012 Chairman-country of the OSCE was Ireland, whose primary official statements in this role contained a promise to actively support the resolution of conflicts that exist in Europe.


Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Tamaz Khubua said during the Irish Presidency in the OSCE as one of the most colorless and mediocre. "The previous country-chairs have also failed to make great strides in this regard, but at least we know who tried to actualize this process. In this sense, "attempts" of Ireland were the most colorless and mediocre. It seems that the presiding country remembered the conflict regions and about the victims of these conflicts as a consequence people only at the final summit of the OSCE. The international community must be aware that for internally displaced community of Abkhazia, this approach is unacceptable" - says T. Khubua.
