On the 2th of May the deputies of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia accepted the representative of the American non-governmental organization «Fundus Demos Diplomatie – FDD» Tamara Nazarova and the chairman of non-governmental organization «Georgia - in support of refugees» Dalila Khorava.

At the meeting were discussed the social and economic problems existing before refugees and temporary displaced persons from Abkhazia. Besides, at the meeting was presented the infrastructure project about «Intercity-Georgia» directed on improvement of economic and social situation of refugees.

According to the project, allegedly in region of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, near Zugdidi will be constructed the new small town in which at the initial stage would be settled about 1000 families of refugees from Abkhazia and for this place  will be created corresponding infrastructure and workplaces. The project will be financed by the government of the USA and total sum would be 250 million dollars.

Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia positively receipted the specified initiative and expressed full support to realization of represented project.
