16th of March representatives of the Supreme Council and the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, the heads of ministries and departments of Georgia, veterans, family members of those killed in battle in defense of the city of Sukhumi commemorate those killed in the fighting on 16th-18th of March in Abkhazia territorial maintain the integrity of Georgia and laid flowers at the memorial to heroes' Square.

As the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia Elguja Gvazava: "The days of March defenders Sukhumi showed incredible strength and fortitude and repulsed the enemy".

By memorial at the Heroes Square laid a wreath and paid tribute to the dead on 15th-18th of March 1993 Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili.
