Abkhazia – the first subject of a children's ethnographic festival

 


On 14th of May in the first classical gymnasium of Tbilisi was opened historical and ethnographic festival which will be continued within two weeks and there would be presented all the regions of Georgia. At an opening ceremony there was presented a chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Elguja Gvazava, the head of the spiritual and cultural center of Abkhazia Svetlana Ketsba and representatives of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.


As one of organizers of action, the coordinator of the training program of initial classes Eter Saralidze noted: - «The similar approach allowed children to learn bases of ethnography and history of different corners of Georgia on the basis of folklore. Certainly, we began with Abkhazia, as most ancient and integral part of Georgia».


Elguja Gvazava thanked children and their teachers for interesting literal representation and for them made present the book of the deputy of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia, the professor of J. Gamakharia «Assays from the history of Georgia: Abkhazia from ancient till the present days”. At the same time emphasized that “each person should know history of the own country not only a bit, but he always must remember how the Georgia could vindicated state system. Certainly, the discord flinging by the enemy made a donation a lot of people in Abkhazia carried away lives of one thousand innocent people and turned the Georgian indigenous people into refugees, tore away Abkhazia from Georgia. But I assure you that all this is temporary. Abkhazia will surely return to the historical entrails and new generation will continue fight for the best and peace future of our country» - Elguja Gvazava declared.
