The members of the Supreme Council of the A/R of Abkhazia met with refugees compactly populated in Kakheti. This was one of the planned meeting which the Supreme Council from time to time arranges in different regions of Georgia. This planned meeting event in Gurjaani coincided with a blow of natural disasters, which caused serious damage not only people but also agricultural land.

Deputies joined management of Gurjaani Municipality and Chairman Davit Meskhishvili and  Zakaria Iaganashvili. According to the chairman of the Supreme Council Elguja Gvazava the meeting was productive.

Regional administration has promised to provide all necessary assistance to the victims and also begun to act promptly. At this stage, the first main problem is to dry flooded basements caused by heavy rainfall, change the rusted gutters and all old roofs.

The chairman of the Supreme Council of Abkhazia stated: "I would say that in Gurjaani refugees are living relatively well. Of course, there are some problems, but they are all solved".
