Two years ago tragically deceased a famous political and public figure, doctor of economic sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Agrarian of Georgia, a real member of Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia and a number of Sciences Academies Lorik Marshania.

He most of his life and work dedicated to the problems of unity and mutual understanding of the two kindred peoples - Abkhazians and Georgians, woven common homeland, religion, traditions and historical past. He remained faithful to these principles to the last minutes of his life.

Georgian society has apprehended the death of Lorik Marshania as great and irreparable loss.

On 14th of August the second anniversary of the death of Lorik Marshania the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Elguja (Gia) Gvazava with deputies and employees of the Apparatus of Supreme Council once again honored the memory of Lorik Marshania and laid flowers on his grave.
