In 2008 the President of Georgia signed order for awarding the leaders of the choreographic ensemble "Sikharuli” mates Jano (Raybul) and Eter Liparteliani were awarded the Order of Honor for his contribution to the development of folk dance and promote it abroad, as well as the longstanding fruitful work in St. Petersburg Cultural Center "Troitsk". The presentation of awards was postponed due to circumstances of family of choreographers. Recently the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Elguja Gvazava solemnly presented awards Eteri Liparteliani. In the ceremony was attended deputes and members of the Apparatus of Supreme Council and members of the family Liparteliani, unfortunately the head of the family Jano recently deceased.

After the fall of Sukhumi the family of Liparteliani moved to live in St. Petersburg where mates with a professional choreographer have created an ensemble of Georgian folk dances. At present the ensemble is managed with their daughter Sophiko Liparteliani. The ensemble has been going on tour in Europe.
