According to the information from Prague, on National television of Czech Republic broadcasted the documentary movie "On the borders of the empire" filmed by the journalist Petrushka Shustrova on 22, 27 and 29 of August in 2012 (see http://www.ceskatelevize.cz/porady/10354261516-na-hranicich-imperia/21156226414). Film related about the interrelation between Georgian and Abkhazian. As information of the representatives of Georgian Diaspora in Prague the most important events in it is becoming silent or is not highlights objectively. Dear journalist took the help of both officials and public figures belonging to the Abkhazian and Georgian - prominent members of pro-Russian political coalition "Georgian Dream" such as D. Berdzenishvili, P. Zakareishvili and others. From the background of "expert" (anti-Georgian, defamatory, anti-state) calculations of the latter in the film more "convincing" look offers from the separatists who are talking about the necessity to recognize the independence of Abkhazia by the countries of Europe.
Unfortunately, the movie "On the borders of the empire" (as we have seen when we see it) does not give the hand to understand the anatomy of the conflict in Abkhazia, the causes and the results of one of the largest and most terrible tragedy in Europe on the second half of XX century. The film, on the contrary, even more misleading ignorant people, insults the memory of thousands of innocent civilians (mostly Georgians), including children and elderly females, medieval methods cruelly tortured and destroyed by the invaders and the separatists; dignity of 400,000 internally displaced persons and refugees (total of 535 thousand population of Abkhazia) ultimately plays into the hands of the Kremlin, the propaganda machine which without the help of Ms. Petrushka Shustrova and also renegades of Georgian for period of 20 years successfully misinforming the world about the conflict regions of Georgia.
We believe that this film in spirit clearly contradicts the official government policy of the Czech state and therefore fundamental interests of Georgia which respects and supports the Czech Republic.
Given the existing friendly relations between our two countries, we are ready to give at the disposal of the Supreme Council of the A/R of Abkhazia objective information to National television of Czech, of course, in the case of his or her consent. It will help the Czech audience, introduced recently in error and it will be better to understand the essence of the tragedy in Abkhazia and the events surrounding around it.
Touching the leaders of the "Georgian Dream" call to condemn anti-state position characters in the film "On the borders of the empire," if it is contrary to the position of the coalition.
