Tamaz Khubua "Partly free Abkhazia does not happen"

American non-governmental organization "Freedom House" published a report in 2013 "Peace in the world." This report mentioned Abkhazia as "partly free" and "North Ossetia" - "not free" countries with disputed territories. The document consists of 195 countries and 14 territories disputed with three defining categories - free, partly free and not free.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Tamaz Khubua strongly disagree with such a reckoning of Abkhazia.

Published estimates of the non-governmental organization "Freedom House" does not deserve any credibility. First, Abkhazia is not recognized as an independent country. Second, attributing Abkhazia to "partly free" is the biggest nonsense, quote: "...due to the free and keenly competitive parliamentary elections in 2012.". But this is absurd - as may be the very competitive elections, if two thirds of the population is indigenous people and involuntary resettlement of today do not live in the area. Moreover, the right to remain on this area citizens are grossly violated. Objectivity of such investigations should be reviewed and strictly condemned by the international community.
