Tamaz Khubua welcomes the statement by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani on the situation in Abkhazia

 

The Georgian government is concerned that in the Russian-occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region there are new restricted zone and all the big run-out area with barbed wire. According to First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani imposed by the occupying Russian forces constraints prevent local people to carry out agricultural work and move freely along occupational lines. Regarding the situation in Abkhazia, David Zalkaliani said that the region violated the rights of the local population, limited freedom of movement of citizens across the administrative border. "As you know, at the end of last year, in November and December, there were 4 cases, when placed on the occupation line of Russian troops passed through the administrative line of locals who were in need of urgent medical care" - said Zalkaliani.

 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, April 15, Russian troops will not allow students and teachers from the village Nabakevi Gali Pakhulani go to the village where the nearest school. In addition, in late March the village Chkadua Zugdidi district was kidnapped by a local resident, who was found dead on April 11 in the village of Tagiloni Gali district.
