From 1992 has been already passed 20 years from the beginning the war in Abkhazia which was inspired by Russia. On 14th of August, the date of beginning the confrontation in Abkhazia, the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Elguja Gvazava with the deputies of Supreme council and employees of Apparatus honored the memory of killed in the battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia and laid a wreath at the memorial to the ‘Heroes Square’ in Tbilisi.

"War of 1992 is equally touched his black wings as the Georgians as Abkhazians. It was the Russian military and political gamble and dangerous provocation in which was drawn on that time leadership of Georgia. I note that if there had not been 14th of August in 1992 there would have been any other day, for Russia had a lot of plans to make war in Abkhazia from chopping it from Georgia" - said in an interview with reporters chairman Elguja Gvazava.

"This is a tragic day in the history of Georgia, as the war has split two close peoples. It is a great pity neither Georgian nor Abkhazian could not vindicate friendly relations which the Kremlin has destroyed in one fell swoop, fueling animosity between the two kindred peoples. And today of attempting to restore relations between Georgian and Abkhazian unfortunately went into blind alley. Moscow makes every effort to preserve the status quo trying arousing hatred against Georgia and did not allow make peace between two closest peoples. Kremlin shams Abkhazian independence, but in fact is dreaming of resurrecting the old Soviet borders" - denoted the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Elguja Gvazava.
